Northlane View

Effective Date: June 2026

1 — INTRODUCTION AND SCOPE

Northlane View is a digital travel publication covering destination guides, road trip routes, hidden gems, family travel, and lifestyle stories from across America. The publication is available at northlaneview.com (the “Website”) and reaches its audience through an email newsletter. Northlane View is owned and operated by BuzzBurst Media LLC, a limited liability company formed under the laws of the State of Florida, United States.

This Privacy Policy describes the personal information gathered from readers and subscribers, the ways that information is used, the parties with whom it is shared, the periods for which it is kept, and the choices and rights available to you. It applies to every visitor to the Website and every subscriber to the newsletter.

→  Read this Policy together with the Terms & Conditions, which govern use of the Website and define shared terms. If the two ever disagree, the Terms & Conditions take precedence.

Visiting the Website or joining the newsletter signals your acceptance of the practices set out here. If these practices are not acceptable to you, please discontinue use of the Website and unsubscribe from the mailing list.

2 — DATA CONTROLLER

Responsibility for personal information collected through the Website and newsletter rests with:

BuzzBurst Media LLC, operator of Northlane View

1395 Brickell Ave
Miami, Florida 33131
United States
Website: northlaneview.com
Email: contact@northlaneview.com

Send privacy questions, rights requests, and opt-out instructions to contact@northlaneview.com.

3 — MINIMUM AGE

The Website and newsletter are meant for adults eighteen (18) and older. In keeping with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), 15 U.S.C. §§ 6501–6506, no personal information is knowingly collected from children under thirteen (13). Where such information is identified, it is deleted promptly. Report a suspected COPPA issue to contact@northlaneview.com.

4 — INFORMATION WE GATHER

Information you provide

Subscribing through an opt-in form supplies your name and email address. Reaching out through a contact form or by email may supply any further details you choose to include.

Information gathered automatically

Each visit and each email open generates technical information: IP address and approximate region, browser and version, device and operating system, pages and time on page, links clicked inside emails, and engagement signals from pixels embedded in each send. A pixel indicates whether a message was opened and on what kind of device. Disabling automatic image loading in your mail client prevents pixel tracking.

Information from acquisition partners

The subscriber list may grow through co-registration arrangements, partner sites, and list providers. Each source must confirm that every supplied contact gave express consent to receive commercial email of the kind sent here, and every incoming batch is screened against the suppression file before any message goes out.

Cookies and analytics

Cookies and analytics tools run on the Website to reveal traffic patterns and content performance. Details appear in the Cookies section below.

Information we do not gather

Passport numbers, government identifiers, payment credentials, booking confirmations, biometric data, and precise GPS location are not collected through the Website. If any such detail appears in a message to us, it is used only to handle that message and is not retained.

5 — HOW WE USE INFORMATION

Sending the newsletter

Your email address principally serves to deliver the destination guides, itineraries, and lifestyle stories you asked for. Every commercial message names the sender and carries a working unsubscribe control.

Sponsored and affiliate content

Northlane View carries sponsored placements and affiliate offers from partners — travel booking platforms, gear retailers, lodging services, lifestyle brands — within the newsletter and on the Website. Activating such a link and completing a qualifying action sends a limited attribution signal to the partner, no broader than needed to verify the action.

Analytics and editorial improvement

Engagement figures viewed in aggregate — opens, clicks, page views, popular destinations — guide editorial choices and help deliver content readers value.

Legal compliance

Information may be processed where law, regulation, or a binding order requires it, or to enforce agreements and protect rights.

Legal bases for international readers

For readers in the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, or Switzerland, the bases relied upon are: consent for marketing email and non-essential cookies; legitimate interests for analytics, security, and editorial improvement where proportionate; and legal obligation where applicable. Consent may be withdrawn at any time, as described in the email section.

6 — TRAVEL CONTENT DISCLAIMER

Northlane View is an editorial travel publication. Destination guides, tips, route ideas, lodging suggestions, and lifestyle pieces exist for general information and inspiration only.

TRAVEL DETAILS CHANGE CONSTANTLY. PRICES, OPENING HOURS, ADMISSION FEES, ROUTES, ACCESSIBILITY, ENTRY AND VISA RULES, RESERVATION POLICIES, AND ON-THE-GROUND CONDITIONS DESCRIBED IN ARTICLES MAY NO LONGER BE ACCURATE. CONFIRM CURRENT DETAILS DIRECTLY WITH THE VENUE, OPERATOR, OR OFFICIAL SOURCE BEFORE BOOKING OR TRAVELING. WE ACCEPT NO RESPONSIBILITY FOR ANY LOSS, COST, OR INCONVENIENCE CAUSED BY RELIANCE ON OUTDATED OR INACCURATE CONTENT.

Third-party services. Hotels, rentals, tours, airlines, restaurants, and other services we mention or link to are described as editorial opinion drawn from research or experience. We neither operate nor control them; any booking or dealing is strictly between you and that provider. We give no assurance as to the quality, safety, availability, or suitability of any third-party service named.

Travel safety. Travel carries inherent risk. Weather, roads, local safety, and public-health conditions shift quickly and without warning. Our content is not safety advice for any particular trip. Before departure, consult the U.S. Department of State travel advisories at travel.state.gov and any other relevant authority.

IN AN EMERGENCY WHILE TRAVELING, CONTACT LOCAL EMERGENCY SERVICES AT ONCE. WITHIN THE UNITED STATES, DIAL 911; ELSEWHERE, FIND THE LOCAL EMERGENCY NUMBER FOR THE COUNTRY YOU ARE IN. NEVER RELY ON THIS WEBSITE OR NEWSLETTER DURING AN EMERGENCY.

Family travel. Pieces about family travel, children’s activities, or kid-friendly places are general information only. A parent or guardian is solely responsible for judging whether any destination, route, or activity suits their children.

7 — USE OF ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE

Certain guides, roundups, and newsletter pieces may be drafted or refined with AI writing tools, with human editorial review before publication. AI-assisted material can still contain inaccuracies or stale details — especially prices, hours, and fast-changing local conditions. Corrections are welcome at contact@northlaneview.com.

8 — ADVERTISING AND AFFILIATE RELATIONSHIPS

Northlane View is funded through advertising and affiliate partnerships. Compensation may follow when readers click sponsored links or complete qualifying actions — booking lodging, buying gear, signing up for a service, or making a purchase — via links in the newsletter or on the Website, in cost-per-click, cost-per-acquisition, revenue-share, or fixed-fee form.

This statement, together with disclosures placed at each commercial placement, forms the standing FTC material-connection disclosure under 16 C.F.R. Part 255.

Each advertiser and sponsored item is reviewed before placement. A paid relationship is not an endorsement, a quality warranty, or a guarantee of your experience with the advertiser.

9 — NEWSLETTER AND OPT-OUT RIGHTS

CAN-SPAM

Every commercial email complies with the CAN-SPAM Act (15 U.S.C. § 7701 et seq.): the sender is identified, a physical mailing address appears, subject lines are accurate, and a working unsubscribe link is present. Opt-out requests are honored within ten (10) business days.

→  Your complete consent framework, mobile-messaging terms, and the scope of the email program appear in the Email Communications section of the Terms & Conditions.

Stopping our email

Use the unsubscribe link in any message, or write to contact@northlaneview.com. Once handled, your address joins a permanent suppression file so it is not re-contacted when the list is refreshed from acquisition sources.

Mobile messages

Any text message to a mobile number you supply follows prior express written consent under the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (47 U.S.C. § 227). Reply STOP to opt out; a text opt-out does not affect email.

Canadian subscribers

Where Canada’s Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL) applies, reliance rests on the express or implied consent recorded at collection, and the right to withdraw consent applies equally.

10 — COOKIES AND TRACKING

Website cookies

Cookies support sessions, core functionality, traffic analytics, and advertising attribution. Analytics cookies show which guides and roundups resonate most.

Email pixels

Newsletter pixels record opens, timing, and device type, and clicks are logged, all assessed at the campaign level.

Third-party tools

Analytics, advertising, and sharing tools on the Website may set their own cookies under their own policies, which we do not control.

Your controls

Cookies can be managed or removed through browser settings at any time. Disabling non-essential cookies does not block reading the Website or subscribing. Suppress automatic image loading to block email pixels.

Do Not Track

With no agreed Do Not Track standard, the Website does not currently respond to such signals.

11 — SHARING OF INFORMATION

Information is shared only as set out here and never for purposes beyond this Policy.

Email delivery providers handle subscriber data solely to send the newsletter, under terms barring independent use.

Advertising and affiliate partners receive attribution signals — device identifiers, IP addresses, click data, conversion events — to confirm campaign performance. This may amount to a “sale” or “sharing” under the CCPA; California subscribers may opt out as described below.

Technology vendors providing hosting, analytics, and infrastructure access limited data under confidentiality terms.

Affiliated entities under common ownership or control may receive data for coordinated publishing, marketing, or operations under equivalent standards.

Authorities receive data where law, legal process, or the protection of rights and safety requires it.

Business transfers. Should BuzzBurst Media LLC or the Northlane View publication take part in a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, subscriber data may pass to the counterparty.

Subscriber email addresses and profiles are not sold or rented to unrelated third parties for their own marketing beyond what is described here.

12 — DATA RETENTION

Active subscriber data remains while the address stays on the live list. After unsubscription, the address moves to the suppression file and is held indefinitely to prevent re-contact.

Analytics and log data is kept for a limited window — typically up to thirteen (13) months — then deleted or anonymized.

Data tied to a legal matter or compliance duty is held as long as that purpose requires.

13 — SECURITY

Proportionate technical and organizational safeguards protect personal information against unauthorized access, loss, and disclosure, including TLS encryption in transit, access controls, and periodic reviews.

No connected system is perfectly secure, and transmissions across public networks cannot be guaranteed against interception. Where a breach triggers mandatory notice under applicable law, affected individuals and authorities are notified within the required time.

14 — YOUR PRIVACY RIGHTS

California — CCPA / CPRA

Under the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act, California residents hold rights over their personal information. Across the past twelve months the categories possibly collected and, in some cases, sold or shared are: identifiers (names, email addresses, IP addresses, device IDs); internet and network activity (open and click records); approximate geolocation from IP; commercial interaction data; and behavioral inferences.

California residents may request disclosure, deletion, correction, or portability; opt out of sale or sharing; and exercise these rights without discriminatory treatment. Email contact@northlaneview.com with the subject “California Privacy Rights.” A response follows within forty-five (45) days, extendable as allowed. Global Privacy Control signals from California IP addresses are treated as valid opt-outs.

Nevada

Nevada residents may opt out of covered-information sales under Nevada Revised Statutes Chapter 603A by writing to contact@northlaneview.com.

Other states

Residents of Colorado, Virginia, Connecticut, Texas, Oregon, Montana, and other states with consumer-privacy statutes may hold rights to access, correct, delete, and port data and to opt out of targeted advertising or data sales. Email contact@northlaneview.com.

EEA, UK, Switzerland

Where GDPR, UK GDPR, or Swiss law applies, you hold rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, and objection, including an unconditional right to object to direct marketing. Email contact@northlaneview.com; a response follows within one month. A complaint may also go to your local supervisory authority.

Canada

Where PIPEDA or provincial law applies, Canadian subscribers may access, correct, and withdraw consent over their data by writing to contact@northlaneview.com.

15 — INTERNATIONAL TRANSFERS

The Website is operated from the United States. Access from outside the United States results in personal data being transferred to and processed in the United States, where protections may differ from those at home. Where GDPR or another framework requires specific transfer safeguards, appropriate mechanisms are applied to the extent those frameworks govern.

16 — ADDITIONAL TERMS

Third-party links. The Website and newsletter may link to booking platforms, tourism boards, gear retailers, and other resources whose content, privacy practices, booking terms, and availability are outside our responsibility. Following them is at your own risk.

Scope. Operations run under United States federal law and the laws of the State of Florida. International frameworks apply only where they independently govern.

Accessibility. We aim to keep this Policy and the Website accessible, consistent with the Americans with Disabilities Act. Report barriers to contact@northlaneview.com.

Updates. This Policy may change; the current version always appears at northlaneview.com with a new Effective Date. Continued use after a change constitutes acceptance.
